  2. This  candid was taken in the middle of Grasmere in the Lake 
  3. District. My wife was in a shop - as usual - so I was propping
  4. up the door post outside. 
  5.  
  6. These three men sat on the seat opposite,  got out a map and
  7. began discussing their next destination.

  12. I could see the possibility of a shot so focused and waited for 
  13. a reasonable set of mannerisms. They were so engrossed in their
  14. discussion that they had no idea that I was there,  nor did they
  15. here the camera shutter - no motor wind at this time - the camera
  16. was a Pentax SP1000 with 200 mm.  SMC lens.  Always buy the best 
  17. lenses that you can afford as they make the results.  The SMC
  18. lenses that I  had at the time were also used on a Cosina SLR and
  19. the  results were just as good as the Pentax.

  23. Compositionally, the picture lends itself to a thinner than
  24. normal horizontal frame, and there are two bright highlights
  25. right on the top  edge  of the frame that tend to draw the eye. 
  26. I  could  have toned them down during printing.
